Re: Battery problem on 2008 1.25 fiesta
My guess is alternator OK (sounds like it was supplying all your electrical needs whilst you were driving) but that your battery is finished (not accepting charge). To confirm you probably need a voltmeter - if you are seeing 13.5/13.8v at the battery terminals when the engine is running then altern...

Re: MK7 MPG
You should not be impressed! I have an 03/2012 1.6TDCi titanium econetic and have covered 61000m in it in 3-years and over the whole 61000m I have averaged 70.52mpg. Driving style, maintenance and tyres make a difference: - keep revs low typically below 2000rpm - stay just below 60mph on motorways -...

Re: Low revs boost tdci
I've got a 2102 1.6TDCi econetic model and find the low rev torque fine - In fact I prefer the Fiesta to my 2.0TDCi Kuga 163bhp around town, the Kuga stalls a lot more easily than the Fiesta. I usually let the clutch up in the Fiesta without touching the throttle when pulling away from a standstill ...

Re: Jolting when lifting off the throttle
I have an econetic on a 12 plate and it does the same both going on or off the throttle very lightly. It's been like that since new (well 3-months old with 900m on the clock when I bought it) and it's now done 58,000m. I suspect it's just the fuel injection programme that's a bit sharp shutting down...

Re: Improving fuel econemy
Hi, I have a 12 plate 1.6TDCi Econetic which I bought ~3 months old with ~900m on the clock. I've covered 47000m in a mix of town and motorway and have averaged 71.2mpg over those 47000m, this is based on diesel put in the tank and not on the computer - I keep a spreadsheet in my phone. I typically ...

Re: 2009 Titanium - Automatic Mirror Whine
I have a 2012 Titanium and the mirrors whine for a few seconds after they fold. Don't recall them doing it when new but been doing it for a while and still working fine
