Re: 300mm brake conversion

Just to clarify as i forgot to put it in the original post that this won't fit if you have 15" rims, 16" & bigger are fine though

Not sure if anyone would be interested but i'm selling my pumaspeed 300mm brake conversion to fund a couple of other mods, it's been on for less than a year and is still in very good condition looking for £160 posted (to mainland uk), the only thing missing will be the pads but you can use the norma...

Re: Spare wheel - What have you done?

Got rid of the gunk and replaced it with a 15" steel rim, have had to put a piece of ply under the boot carpet to keep it level but it fits fine. I'd advise going to a breakers yard for the rim & jack as ford will rob you blind, paid £30 from a breaker for the rim & jack and another £45 for a hankoo...

Re: fog light covers

It can be done like that but i found the engine under tray a pain in the arse (doesn't help that i've got sausage fingers either!) :x

Re: fog light covers

You have to remove the headlight which gives (fairly tight) access to the back of the fog light, undo the 2 torx screws that hold the fog light in & remove it, then the surround has a couple of tabs holding it in, just gently push them down and it should pop straight out

Re: Best wheel spacers

They're pretty expensive (around £130) but i've got 25mm eibach pro spacers on the rear on mine and they're superb, very good quality, i've got 20mm ones (they were around £115) on the front as well and i'd really recommend them

Re: Fiesta zetec mk7

No problem mate, the petrol engine has a timing belt, haynes recommended changing it at 62500 miles but if you do a lot of short, stop/start journeys or spend a lot of time at idle i'd probably go no more than 50000, a few hundred quid for the belt change is far cheaper than a new engine
