2010 fiesta zetec

hi there,bought my 2010 ford fiesta zetec last week at a ford dealer,was told by the salesman that it has ambient lighting which at night lights up in both footwells when driving is this correct or does it only come on briefly? also what bulbs are they as might change them to red
