New owner

Hi, new owner from Essex, I've purchased a '10' plate fiesta titanium 1.6 deisel which I have now had for 6 weeks, great little car, however, when you change gear from 1st to 2nd the rev counter doesn't drop as fast as when you change gear from 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th and so on, I dont know if it's me or its what the car should do as its my first deisel, apart from that its a great little car. Anyway, great forum, thanks.
