A few suggestions

Basically I've been a member on a few forums mainly CCuk, ZSOC, FOC and these are some ideas I've from these sites.

Firstly from CCuk- a "your car/car history" section i don't know if you have this I haven't seen it yet if you do, basically what it is, is a section where you post photos of your current car and your previous cars so people can see, it's used mainly so people who don't necessarily want to modify their car have somewhere to post photos because a progress section doesn't suit cars that aren't modified and they can update on what's happening with their cars I.e breakdowns crashes or if they want to post it in there as well and subtle mods they may have done e.g DMBs, caliper paint.

Secondly from CCuk - not really a suggestion for this site but for Facebook. Setting up a page dedicated to this site so members can send page requests to their friend list to join that page and to sign up as member here. Me andy mate would send out request like this on a CCuk page and we seen a major increase in people around our areas joining CCuk and going to meets etc.

Thirdly from ZSOC/CCuk - again I don't know if you have this I haven't found it but, setting up regional organisers and co-organisers for meets etc.

Finally from CCuk - an 'other car' section, where people who own other cars maybe moved on from a mk7 can go to talk about other makes/models of cars and post progress threads on their new cars.

Apologies if any/all of these have been done, I'm using tapatalk atm so I can't see what's going on with the full site but I can't see them on this. I hope you take on my suggestions ether now or in the future.

Cheers

Personally, i think the Images/Videos section suits this, if the user doesn't want to make a post in the Fiesta Progress/Project Threads.

Do you mean like a Facebook page, for this site? If so, good idea, think i might do that!
Thirdly from ZSOC/CCuk - again I don't know if you have this I haven't found it but, setting up regional organisers and co-organisers for meets etc.
Yes, now, this is something i want too do, however i dont think theres enough members currently to start handing out permissions. Would like it too grow a bit before doing that. "Ben..." has been here from the start, made good posts etc, basically given me a good impression, thats how hes a moderator. Believe it or not ive never met the guy!
Finally from CCuk - an 'other car' section, where people who own other cars maybe moved on from a mk7 can go to talk about other makes/models of cars and post progress threads on their new cars.
This is a good one too, we need more returning members for it too be active though, i don't want a forum too sit dormant, it doesn't look good to potential members (and google for that matter) when they see a load off empty forums.

In the long term what I'm aiming for is friendly forum where people that don't even have a mk7 fiesta anymore still come back. (hence suggestion no.4 = good!) Theres only a few forums i know like this, but it creates a good community of knowledge and people will keep coming back if its friendly.

Thankyou for the suggestions, will get on the facebook one tonight. I'm alllways open to any critism, if you think that what ive said is rubbish responce, then let me know

I didn't see the videos and images section, sorry about that, I'd agree that covers it.

The organisers I thought was more a future thing when there are more members.

I'll spread the word through my Facebook friends when the page is made.

Thanks for taking my suggestions on board, I really like this forum and I hope that it becomes how you want it :)
