Opinions on Moddifying My Zetec

Post by Figs122uk »

So come the end of the year/beginning of 2012, i'll be wanting too start doing a few modifications too my Fiesta Zetec 1.25

What im asking is would you guys help me out? I want something abit different but not daft - Im worried of doing something thats going too look abit 'chavy' or mish-mashed when im 'finished'.

Next week im starting with the really small things. Im ordering these to get the 'nice white/blue headlight look'
- Philips BlueVision W5W Bulbs
- Philips X-treme Power H7 Bulbs
- Philips X-treme Power H1 Bulbs
- Philips SilverVision PY21W Bulbs

This is the car at the moment, completely stock -

So basically im looking for your help for me too make my Zetec look nice.

Starting off;
- What would you do too it?

And also.. Do you think it would be a wise choice, and a good place too start to get some of these on;

with some Eibach Lowering Springs ?

Do you think it would look right? :s

The wheels may be not have enough ET. The depth that the wheel sits in or out of the wheel arch without either fouling the suspension or the outer wheel arch.
Ford qoute an ET of 38 standard up to 47.5 for the "Streetpack " wheels which are wider at 7 inches x 17.

Check with your supplier preferably by email so that you have a written reply in case of problems.

Check out Team Dynamics "Pro Race 3", Similar to what you have posted but cheaper.
Halfords are also a stockist.

Thank you for your replies :)

I love them Team Dynamics! Prefer them over the speedlines :D. Do you think you'd be able to get them in White?

Would them 17' Dynamics fit alright then means the speedlines wouldnt?

Also would them still be fine after lowering about 30mm all round? :)

Thanks again

I bought exactly the same bulbs as you've listed

SilverVision ones I'd recommend

But the X-Treme Power ones aren't really that different in colour to the standard ones, and they only lasted a few months

Karl - that link is saved and added too my favourites - there gorgeous! Thank you :).
Edit: What's everyone's opinions on them in White, should they suit the car? I was going to have one spoke of each alloy sprayed a lime green/orange? Thoughts?

Ben - what did you think of the blue sidelights? ... The W5W bulbs? Shall I just replace the indicator ones and the sidelights bulbs then and save some pennies?

Lowering down 30mm willbring your car to the same spec as the Zetec S, so shouldn't be any problems.
I have an S with Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in white, 17 x 7 inch, 45 et.Image

Thank you Karl, White alloys look amazing! :D

I think im going to go for 16' alloys by looking at yours (no offence intended)

Here was my 2nd 'modification', my little mascot... After putting some brighter side lights in the other day :)

Image

I'll be ordering the alloys come early January (y) - My other major plans after that are

- Get the side & back windows tinted (Not sure how dark, im going too need some ideas/info)
- Get the roof sprayed black, but not sure if too go Matt or Metallic :s (Need someone too photoshop my roof black)

Just gave it a quick wash and had a quick snap :)
