Sony Radio Question

Post by Karlos30 »

Hi all, noob here! Question for the technically minded lol, looking/thinking of buying the Sony stereo that comes in the newer mk7's and retro fitting into my 60 plate s1600. Question is can this be done? My s1600 came with the standard stereo (silver one) and is not the blue tooth or USB model. Not fussed about changing to the Sony blue display as happy with the standard red! So can it possible to fit the Sony stereo and hav it work with my current display?
Thanks
Karl

Hi. Yes, as long as its a 2010 onwards it will fit straight in with no issues. If you have bluetooth, aux in etc, non of these will be affected. Also, the standard screen works with it as well. Pre 2010 cars have a different wiring connector plug and wont fit. I did a upgrade fit a few weeks ago for a customer.
