MK7 Engine Stalls

Hi,

I have the 1.6 Fiesta with manual transmission. The car is only about 6 months old and my Fiesta stalls in heavy traffic condition with no error code.

All is well except the engine stalls in heavy traffic condition. I have had this problem couple of months ago, went to my dealer and finally they decided that I had a faulty throttle body and they changed it under warranty.

The car runs okay for the last couple of months until several days ago, it started to acting up again, stalls in heavy traffic condition. I tried to simulated condition in my garage by frequently pressed the throttle pedal with lights on, ac on, radio on and it worked, the engine stalled :(

I use shell's petrol unleaded 95, so I suppose that the fuel is not the issue.

I have posted the simulated condition in youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l81fffc3IA0

Been wanting to go back to my dealer, but with a more deeper knowledge on this problem that I hope you guys can help me.

Many thanks,
Kukuh

Something's up today.

When I press the throttle pedal like 1/4 down. I just rest my foot down on the throttle pedal and I noticed that revs acting up. Going up and down between to 600rpm - 800rpm, when I lift my foot, it goes to normal idle (around 800-ish rpm).

Is this normal? Or I seem to have a faulty throttle pedal sensor?

Thanks.

Yes, surely will take it back to ford.

Hopefully they will change it under warranty :) even though no error code appears.. *cross my finger*

Does it stall when driving or just when pulling away

Only when pulling away. Fortunely never stalls when driving.

Strange it's not bringing up any error codes as it a electronic throttle

Yes that's the problem. I've called ford regarding this and they asked whether there was error codes. And I said no error codes appeared in the display.

The only way I could do is showing them what is wrong with my car. Could this be the ECU error? I really hope that is not the case :(

Will be going back to ford sometimes next week. Hopefully the come up with a solution.

I can't help but thinking that this is a new car :(

It sounds more of a fuel starvation to me?

You suggest that it's the fuel pump?

When driving (not in heavy traffic condition) the car runs normal, it doesn't feel sluggish. Only when low rpm and under stop and go conditions and suddenly it stalls.
