Remap

Post by Heathy »

Hi guys, done a few bits to my zetec s but have been thinking about a bit more power. I was just wondering if anyone has an views or ideas about the best place to get a remap in the south east - based on the fact I live in East Sussex.
Any suggestions would be great. Thanks nick

Depends petrol or diesel?
Petrol fit your exhaust filter cams etc first before map
Diesels don't really see massive gains from exhausts and filters if any! Remap is only real gain unless ur getting bigger injectors turbos etc!
500mile+ to a tank £20 tax and a right laugh to drive what more do u need!

What sort of mods should I be looking for to aid the remap?

It's a diesel zetec s and i brought it more for the looks and economy than the speed. However I thought the remap would be a good way to boost power and torque a little and hopefully even improve the economy without going mad.
Quite like the look of the mountune 270 remap?

I had a look at the mountune website and they advertise a diesel remap- on a zetec s that looks just like mine.. : ) seems to only be on the 90ps no dpf one. They claim 100ps and 270nm torque. Not sure how this compares to other companies though...

Yeah that's then one..- and you get a mountune badge! Seen a few comments about people not being to impressed with the gains but don't know much about the reliability etc of other companies that have been mentioned.

True, I'm not fussed about massive gains, a little improvement would be nice and the reliability and link to for that mountune have is obviously a bonus. Don't want to wreck it or over stress anything.
