Pipercross flat filter

Post by grin factor »

I've used performance air filters in the past, mainly K&N, but heard about Pipercross so as they are about the same price bpught one. Its hard to say if there is any performance change, as it would only be small if there was, but fuel economy has gone up by 2/3 mpg.
My main reason for buying these filters is cost, so the extra mpg is a bonus

I opted for the k&n induction kit and to be honest not much performance difference just gave my car a bit of a grunt to it

Interesting you say that about the pipercross ones, ive used both panel and cone filters from pipercross and noticed a increase in mpg.

I agree too that induction kits make a bit too much noise, my mk3 2.0 sounds like its going to suck you up when you floor it, thats with a KnN enclosed cone filter.

I've fitted the J1 Induction filter and I have to say its a lovely piece of kit. My fuel has increased by 2 to 3 mpg, the performance I feel has also improved with a better throttle reponse. The kit is a little expensive at £220ish but its worth it when you see the build quality.
