Ford Audio/Multimedia Software Upgrade October 2011

Post by eyemdee »

For anyone having problems with the Bluetooth/Multimedia functions on their Mk7, Ford have now released an upgrade to the audio software which can be downloaded to a USB stick and run in just under 20 minutes.

Full details here:

http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity.com ... adsUpdates

Although I have had no problems with my Sony unit, I have just run the upgrade and it completed successfully in just over 15 minutes as claimed. Both phones just required the generated PIN number re-entering after upgrading before they would connect.

Is this only possible if you have Ice Pack 4 (USB & AUX)?

Hi Guys, quick question on this, i went to the link to download the update but theres no compatibility list and only one download so i take it this is a universal update for all ford stereos?

Ive got a '10 titanium (pre sony) with bt, usb and voice control, can anyone confirm this wont brick the stereo, im going to be doing 8+ hours of driving this weekend and really don't wanna do it without music.

Cheers
Rob
