I know this isn't what you asked but...

I've got the Zetec S 1.6 TDCi

I don't really keep an eye on my MPG, but i'm getting 450-500 miles per tank

As opposed to 300 in my old mk6 1.4 petrol

And i don't exactly drive economically

I average 38-44mpg in the Petrol 1.6 Zetec S. The fuel light comes on normally after 300-330miles
I've always put BP fuel in, me and others think it don't make a difference on normal roads or acceleration, but it pulls better up a hill.

I am a strong believer of driving style. If you rev up to over 3,000rpm most gears you'll find you get another 50miles if you change at 2,000-2,500rpm
