Still not got round to fitting any of the bits I've got stored in the garage, just added to them with a Mountune Short Shifter

If everything goes to plan I've got some time off work at the start of March so should get the Samcos, Big Brake kit, Front Splitter & Short Shifter fitted then & also plan to trim the seat backs as I've got a Mountune boot mat but doesnt look right with metal seat backs!

Had some spare time today so thought i'd fit my short shifter & front splitter. Only managed to get the short shifter done but depending on the weather should get the spltter on tomorrow & give the car a clean!

Short shifters easy enough to fit although I did manage to break a plastic clip but luckily enough it hasnt caused a problem. It makes a big improvement on gear changes & feels more comfortable being that bit shorter, think it looks alot better to with the gaiter & gear knob. Think im gonna save up & get the billet short shift arm to go with it.

Took advantage of the good weather today, fitted my front splitter & gave the car a quick wash (needs to be done properly when its a bit warmer). Typical of my luck the the pop rivets I had were to short but I found some nuts & bolts which were a bit to long but they done the job. Think it finishes the front end off nicely.

Great updates :)
I love the look of the short shifter gaiter & knob from Mountune <3333
I'd have to get the Steeda shifter though, as it's just so much cheaper.
And that splitter looks the nuts, if it goes missing, you know where to look ;)

Where are you getting your prices from? Mountune is £119 and Steeda is £174

Unless you're comparing Mountune's billet arm (£165) against Steeda's billet mounts (£35).

Yeah, the billet arm which reduces the throw further to match Steeda's, but to add that to the original shifter makes it basically £75 more. Wouldn't bet on it being £75 a better product tbh.

Cheers mate. If you look at the right time the Mountune was cheap, I got mine when they did their 12 days of Xmas, saved about £40. Plus for me if there's any problems with it Mountune are only a 25minute drive from where I live so easy to take back!! Can't say if it is better than the Steeda one cos I've not used Steeda but I'm happy with what I've got.
