Very smart mate. I just bought a 6 month old Zetec S a couple of weeks ago - same colour as yours. Like you I have found a few swirl marks and the odd small scratch and I'll be attacking the car with my DA polisher in the next few weeks.
I had a Fiesta ST prior to this and, apart from the obvious power difference, I find the Zetec a lot smoother to drive and a bit more civilised. It does have one or two design aspects which I don't like but will no doubt get used to ....
i.e. the mirror adjustment switch is too far back on the door (on the ST it was in just the right place at arms' length to easily adjust while driving), the door mirrors are far too bulky looking for the size of car and I find the view from them a bit too distorted, the arrangement for switching on front and/or rear fog lights is a faff (I can't even see the buttons from my driving position) and I hate the fact that the seats want to slide forward when the seat back is tilted.

I shall now come out of Victor Meldrew mode!

Once I get some decent pics of the car I shall post some up.

Haha. There will always be parts of someones car they don't like. I know exactly what you mean with the fog light switches. Not the easiest of places to get to, although it is good in a way as it means there are only two stalks coming from the steering wheel and they're not cluttered with switches.

I've seen a lot of people mention about the wing mirrors looking huge on these but I think they fit in quite well with how the rest of the car is fairly chunky.

The seats sliding when tilted are only like that to aid passengers entering the rear ( ;) ) but it does annoy me when my seat becomes out of position... Shame I can't fit my bucket seats easily. lol

Get some pics up of yours soon :) Have you done anything to it?

Cheers Viper. On the point about the fog light switches they could have done things the same way as the Mk6 Fiesta ST - i.e. everything worked from the main light switch (it wasn't column mounted). Turn switch one click right for sidelights, two clicks for headlights, pull knob outwards one click for front fogs and a second click outwards for rear fog. So much easier in my opinion.

I havn't done anything to the car yet and to be honest I probably won't. Only thing I am contemplating is upgrading the mirrors to the folding version (I've posted a request for info in the upgrades thread).

I'll be taking some pics of the car next week as I am on hols then.
