Opinions on these alloys?

Post by Jamesk07 »

Hi all,

I've just placed an order for new alloys...

The link below shows the wheels I've ordered, what do you think? My car is a 1.6 TDCI Titanium in Panther Black, so I quite liked the idea of black rims on black car...

http://www.directalloys.co.uk/details6. ... -wheel.htm

I've ordered them with Falken F452s all round, they seemed to be a good all round tyre with decent grip, wear and road noise.

Any thoughts or opinions gratefully received.

James

They should arrive tomorrow, should have them fitted by the evening... Going to paint the drums and calipers... I'm thinking black for both. What do you guys reckon? If it was discs all round I'd possibly paint the calipers a different colour, but I always feel painting the front calipers a different colour just highlights the fact you've got drums on the back... What's the verdict? :D

Well they're on... Obviously it needs a clean, also need to paint the drums and callers (going black all round)...

Niiiice...I think the look will be complemented by a bit of lowering...nothing drastic...just so they sit a little closer in the arches...

Nice allys though mate...might do a similar thing myself

Agreed, I want to get the ford lowering springs... Nothing drastic but agree it will look much better.

I painted the drums and calipers black yesterday, they look MUCH better for it too...

Ford lowering springs are just eibach 30mm. Should be all it needs to set it apart. I'm doing the same!
