Re: Best HiD's to go for?
I am also looking into buying HID''s, i know 6000k are possibly the best to go for (if your worried about the police) they have a slight tint of blue, otherwise, go for the 8000k ones, they have a bit more blue in them, think there is a bit of a grey area whether or not they are illegal, i know people who have driven around with them on for years and have never been pulled, but alot of people have said that they have had a slap on thw wrist for them, not sure where is the best place to actually buy them from, iv been looking on the internet doing some research for a while and just have not got round to asking where is the best place to buy them from, so i also would like to know.

Between 4500k and 6000k are the best colours to go for. It's pointless going above 6000k as the light is actually worse to see by. There is NO grey area, they ARE illegal to retro fit HIDs on cars. Same as speeding and funny number plates etc etc

I gues it is the same as driving round with your fog lights on, if never been pulled In the time I have been driving, no point in having HID side lights, just use normal xenon bulbs, likewise with the high beams unless your going to have a hi/lo setup, and I'm going to have a separate HID kit for my fog lights, this is how I understand it anyhow, correct me if I'm wrong.

Just came across Osram Nightbreakers, looked on amazon and seen a couple of bad reviews complaining about them blowing after a couple months of use, however, Autobulbs give a 12 month warrenty with them, and i believe they arem just a straight swap, for the front and fogs. anyone recommend them as they are damn sight cheaper than HID's
