Original diffuser with mountune cat-back exhaust?

Post by PPKing »

Hi all,

Just a quick one..
Would any work be required to the original diffuser to fit the mountune cat back exhaust? Not sure if I fancy the £280 for the new diffuser if I don't need it!

No mate, I've got the Mountune exhaust, no adjustment necessary.

I've got the catback, so its the backbox and the piping that leads to the front box! Best mod on my car, genuinely noticed a difference in power. Its meant to add about 11bhp

Ah sounds excellent! The reason I ask is that I love the look of the twin pipes on the back, much more so than the standard 'hidden' exhausts. I'm also after more performance than sound, which is why I am hesitant about getting the mp140 upgrade. I've already got the mountune induction kit so was thinking just adding the cat back exhaust and have the best of both worlds. I know this is a vague question as it depends on what you define as being 'loud', but is just the cat back noisy? Sure, I wouldn't mind a grunt when putting the foot down, however at the same time I don't want to be tip toeing around my estate late at night!

Yeah they look great! has 'Mountune Performance' engraved at the tip of the pipes too! which I like! :D Its not super loud really! if you keep it at the low revs it just 'burbles', even at the really high revs it isn't really loud! but i do get people turning around to see whats approaching! ;)
