We managed to locate it and it was very well hidden under the plastic surround housing the handbrake. Thank goodness!

My wife returned home from work last night in her keyless entry Mark 7 Fiesta. She had the key fob in the centre drinks holder and when exiting the car managed to pick it up and instantly drop it somewhere in the middle of the car.
