I found this - it is for the Focus but may be similar on the Mk7 as it sounds like you may have disabled it by accident.

Re: MPG??
Cruise Control has helped me save fuel on the motorway just for the simply fact i can set it at say 75-80 and it will stay dead on that speed and it's a good chance to see how up and down everyone elses speeds are. The guy that's been following you all of a sudden getting past then slowing down the...

Re: MPG??
I have checked the mpg on several occasions.I honestly don`t drive like an old duffer....... :D I am really pleased with 41mpg.. 41mpg from the Auto is really good. On my last tank with a mix of short journey (less than 2 miles) commuting and a journey back from the coast mine returned 35.1 with th...

Re: What is this tape on bodywork for?

What is this tape on bodywork for?
When I first looked at my Mk7 I thought it had a tiny scratch which turned out to be polish residue on the end of this piece of tape. I thought no more about it until I washed the car for the first time and wondered why this tape is there. It appears to be standard on 5 door Fiestas just below the r...

Loud metallic ticking from front wheel
I have had my Mk7 for just 4 weeks and took it for its first long trip to Yarmouth last Friday. Setting out on Saturday afternoon (after the rain stopped) we noticed a loud ticking noise coming from the front of the car which sounded like something large stuck in a tyre as it varied according to roa...

Hello from an ex Honda guy
After 7 years driving Honda's (Jazz & Civic) I did the deal on a 9 month old Fiesta 1.4 Titanium Auto last month and am impressed! More comfortable, better ride, quieter, better quality cabin materials and altogether a better car IMHO. The clincher was the Ford Dealer offering £750 more for my 22k m...
