is this a straight swap with a standard stereo? is the screen different to the standard 1 as well?

Yep- straight swap 2010 onwards. The screen is needed as its matched to the unit.

I may be interested do you have the better sound pack in the van as standard? If so are you selling the speakers to?

Any mk7 I'd say. And no worries auto sound I use the keypad to call people all the time on mine and it seems like it would be awkward to dial on that Sony unit

I believe this is already sold (seller can confirm) but most likely will
not fit. Connections changed in 2010.
You will have 2 sockets on rear in center. This is single socket on the left-hand side.
