New to forum. Not sure what model my fiesta is!

Hi Everyone,

I've had my fiesta for a little over 6 months now. Bought it after moving to Brisbane to replace my navara. (Stop start traffic in a 4x4 is horrible). I wasn't looking for a fiesta but I've gotta say I've been very happy with it. Funny thing is I'm not sure exactly what model I got. The paperwork from the dealership says its an 08 WQ LX. which, (and this is part of the reason I found this site), according to my google searching my car sure doesnt look like a WQ but a WS. After just having it serviced and while the paperwork still says 08 wq lx, I used the VIN search from here http://www.etis.ford.com (thanks to this forum for the link to that) see below for the results:

These seem to match up to the car but I still need to double check because the VIN im using is from the paperwork. Will check on the car but if thats correct it looks like I got a pretty good bargain

(i dont recall seeing a zetec badge on the car anywhere.)

Ok so the VIN number didnt quite match up either. Not the Zetec but still the newer model than the dealership listed.

Ok now I really don't know. The etis site is saying that VIN is ZETEC again now. It doesn't have any zetec badges or anything though. I don't have any pics at the moment.
found a link on carsales.com.au to one that looks like mine. Except I have the front bar with no driving lights and I'm not sure if my rear bumper has the little circle bits across it.

Probably a standard 1.6 ZETEC

WQ (AUS) = MK6 (UK)
WS/WT (AUS) = MK7 (UK)

The one shown in the link is a WS - MK7.

It it's defiantly a WQ LX if its 2008.

build date end of 08 but its an 09 model. Now that I know a bit more about the fiesta tis definately a WS

Thats interesting the dealer wrote it up as the wrong model of car...

Hopefully you got it at a WQ price too ;P

Yeah there's some "special" car dealers around the place. Did get it at closer to WQ pricing than WS too
