Looking for advice to put a sub in my Mk7

Hi. My name is Yvette. Currently driving a S1600 mk 7 2011 model year . Looking to upgrade my speakers and put a sub in. I want to attach to the standard head unit. Has anyone else done it.
Any advice would be great. I already have a sub and 6inch jbl and Phoenix gold speakers that I can fit in it. I have upgraded the tweeters but I am missing the bass.
