Newbie here but not quite 'new'

OK, so I finally bought something that doesn't run on steam and need a full tool-kit in the boot. Actually not a bad motor and has a decent self diagnostic built in that can be accessed by the owner. Not a bad drive, a bit like my old (very tweaked) escort that finally caved in to ferrous-fungus, literally.
It's also light enough for me to still work on without slipping a disc and I'm an old fart so that's kinda crucial.
I've done a few things to motors over the years so if I tweak this one, I'll share the results. Having said that, I'm not a guru so I might also pick your other brain cells too. Never too old to learn, always open to new ideas.
