New member with a minor issue

Post by danielsharratt »

Hi, I am totally new to this site. I am totally new to owning a new car and even a diesel lol. Always gone for the less sensible option... However, I recently (about 6 months ago) bought a Zetec S TDCI, 60 plate. I havent had a single issue until recently. I use the car a lot for long distance journeys and the bluetooth is a god send for making a playlist and just leaving it to play. However I recently upgraded the software on my iPhone to ios5 and now it wont connect to the bluetooth in my car. I am wondering if it is because the software in the car isnt up to date enough to connect to ios5? If that even makes sense... And if that is the issue then can I get an upgrade done by Ford that will make it compatiable again? Has anyone else had this issue or similar? Any imforation would be great. Thanks, Daniel.

Alright mate I can help but can't give to much information. There is a link on here for a website where you download the software. It's apart of the ford website. Have a look around the forum you should find it. I will have a look in a bit to see as well

eyemdee wrote:For anyone having problems with the Bluetooth/Multimedia functions on their Mk7, Ford have now released an upgrade to the audio software which can be downloaded to a USB stick and run in just under 20 minutes.

Full details here:

Although I have had no problems with my Sony unit, I have just run the upgrade and it completed successfully in just over 15 minutes as claimed. Both phones just required the generated PIN number re-entering after upgrading before they would connect.

Software downloads as a zip file, so when I was plugging my USB drive into the car it kept saying there was nothing on it. Irritating! But I will keep trying and Ill try download the software in a different format. Thanks for the help everyone :)

I have done that mate, and when extracted it comes up with a load of VBF and BVC files... Whatever they are they wont open? It says I need to use the web to find a suitable programme, and then if I click on that it says the web cant find anything :S?
