This is my first post so firstly hi.
I just bought a second hand 2009 Fiesta TDCi and it has come with one (pretty worn out) remote key and another non-remote key.
I have been looking up posts on sourcing myself another one but making it a flip key. I'm a bit confused on a few things.
The first is how you would know whether one of your keys was a clone or not? as some people have said to have a new key coded to your immobiliser you need two non-cloned keys.
The second is exactly how I would go about sorting it out.....
From what I've gathered I'll obviously need to source the flip housing, a blank key to be cut, then configure the remote locking and immobiliser for the new key (which atm I have no idea how to do )
If anyone can help or point me in the right direction I would be extremely grateful because I certainly don't want to have to pay stupid amounts to Ford to get a key direct from them
Cheers

Re: Replacing key
Just found this, would this still require the immobiliser bits sorted or am I being a bit dense. This looks all singing and dancing to me. Just swap over the insides and bobs your uncle.
