Hi,
I hope someone can help me.
I am looking to install rear door speakers into my 2010 zetec.
I have found the wires in the pillar but have not been able to find any wires in the door itself. Is there a door wiring harness that i will need.
Also is there anyone on here from the derbyshire / south yorkshire area that has an IDS?
Jonathan

Re: Rear speaker wiring problem
i did the same with mine i got a few meters of speaker cable and run the cables from the door pillar into the door , it was quite an easy job to do
Re: Rear speaker wiring problem
Where are the plugs in the door pillar? I have it stripped down now and can't see any?
I have also tried just connecting some speaker wire to the front speaker and using this to power the rears but they won't work??

Re: Rear speaker wiring problem
if you connect the rear speakers to the front they should work fine , to run them properly off the loom in the pillar you first need to get the rear speakers activated by somebody who has the correct software , i bought a haynes manual and that gives the colours of the rear speaker cables and i made my own loom.
if you have no fader option on your radio settings then they are not activated.

Hi,
I went to my local dealer to get some other work done, But while they had it I asked them to activate the rear speakers for me.
They told me it couldnt be done because I would need a module for the stereo. Is this true?
