1.4 tdci chip

Hi all thinking of putting a cr chip box on my 1.4 tdci for a bit more pulling power, the only thing is that the common rail injector plug looks a right nightmare to get at, ive looked at other post & all say you have to remove battery & ecu to get at, has anybody done this or does anyone know an easier way to get to it, I don't really want to spend that much hence going for cr box rather than remap. :(
