The sensor dismantled:
you can see the electric engine and the rotor
a small quantity of grease shall be applied on the axle of the rotor and also pay attention to firmly fix the sensor in the dash in order to avoid noise from vibration.
The sensor is simple and easy to fix but the location is ....

Just realized that my car is with the driving wheel "on the wrong side" :D there could be some right/left differences for UK
As i know this sensor goes only with clima automatic and is located behind a small barred window below the driving wheel.
the buzz sound is also coming from this small window i would recommend to lean your ear to this small window before dismantling anything to be sure that the sensor is buzzing and not something else.

Got exactly the same problem on my 2009 titanium, been driving me nuts. After lots of searching have finally found the answer. Ford are aware of this problem and manufacture a small adaptor for around £2.50 that the sensor plugs into. Have just received mine and will be fitting it at weekend. Hope this helps.

Have fitted adaptor today and all is now quiet. Result !

I've got a 2010 fiesta titanium. Bought the adapter from Ford, BA6119F647AA. Fitted it, just pressing onto end of sensor then connects inside dash where sensor did. Noise is less but is still buzzing. Not really sure I could have fitted wrong as it only goes on one way. I even blew dust our of sensor with compressed air. Any tips?

This is great stuff thanks - anyone know how to detach the sensor from its wires. Can't seem to figure it out?
