Footwell lighting wont go out.

Hi guys. New to the forum as I've just picked up my 61 plate zetec tdci today.

Already a snag!!!!!!!!

Now this may be something I've done, but the problem I have is this --

Just put the car away in the garage & I've noticed that the footwells are lit up with white lighting. Now no matter what I do,
these lights will not go off. I set the courtesy light switch to 'B' as stated in the manual so this should ( I assume) go out
30 secs after locking the car - as stated in the book.

But no.

Anyone have any ideas please or shall I be on the phone to my dealer asap?

PS. I just took the 2 white bulbs out for now.

Checked the boot isn't open a little bit

I'd just take it back, if you can't work it out.. Will probably be an easy fix

I've made sure all the doors & tailgate are shut.

I'll phone the dealer in the morning I think.

Have you tried leaving it for longer like a few mins to see if it's goes out?

If not would ring dealer too, just to make sure there's something where missing!

Yes, left it locked for a good 5 mins with no luck. I'll speak to the dealer soon & post the outcome here.

Hi guys - a quick update.
Managed to get the Fiesta in with the dealer today. A couple of hours in & still not sorted.
Going back in on Tues - they'll keep it for a couple of days to try & get to the bottom of it.

All's now sorted.

After 2.5 days investigation & stripping, it turn out that a wiring loom was trapped against some trim
hence not being able to diagnose the problem in the normal way.

Anyway, good job done on an otherwise great little car.
