Warning light in my dash?

Finally my fiesta arrive last week and I am a very happy owner. Yesterday while waiting in my car i notice a red (or might be amber) light going on and off occationally just on top of my fuel gauge (see picture for example)?

I know it might sound a silly question, i tried looking for it on the manual but found nothing about it.

so when someone tries to break into your car an alarm isn't going to go off?

no doiesnt have that extra in it. It came only with an Immobilizer. Mine is the kind of basic fiesta no nikel and no fog lamps. Just colour coded mirrors, bumpers and some minor other extras more than the basic.

All Fiestas do not have alarms, though they do all have immobilisers. The light confirms the immobiliser is on.

When I get in the car and start it quickly and drive off, that light sometimes starts flashing.. I believe it's to do with the immobiliser not completely disengaging. I turn the car off and back on and it's fine
