Hi all.
I've recently bought a Ford Fiesta 1.0 EcoBoost 125.
It's 18 months old and done 45,000 miles.
I've noticed that when going about 30-40 mph or going on motorway, there is a pulsing humming noise coming from the rear middle of the car.
It's very low pitched.
Is this normal, or does something sound wrong?
I've never had a 1.0 litre before, or an EcoBoost, or even a car with rear brake drums so I'm not used to what normal sounds like.
The sound is like a deep humming noise but pulsing, like the car is counting (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi...)
Thanks.

Re: humming noise from rear (pulsing) when doing motorway sp
I've just driven with the windows down and radio off for first time in car.
I can hear a tiny metally vibration sound - sounds to be from passenger side.
Don't know if this is linked.
EDIT - think this is just the cold 1.0 litre ecoboost engine noise, will keep listening out.
