Well, I've been thinking about it for a while now, so today I ordered some of this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/phonoca ... arpet.html . I think it will be easier than using spray glue etc, as I glued carpet for a previous project (not a guitar), and some did come through and leave a bit of a mess.
I need to do this as I have scratched the metal. Being in a band my boot is in constant use... Amps, PA and flight cases, all terrible for car interiors!
I'm planning on doing this one night this week, or this coming weekend. I will take some pics and let you know how I get on...

Well... It's done! I'm really pleased with how it came out and can firmly recommend the material I used (link is in the above post). One sheet will do, but I ordered two so that I could do some other bits...

Like! I'll be doing mine. I've always wondered why ford did some but left others.

In later version they put carpet on the back. I think from 2010 they have this.
