Battery flat

My Fiesta has suddenly started flattening the battery and on examination is drawing a quiescent current of 1.15A, (norm is 50mA I am told by dealer tekkie), through fuses F18(250mA),F20(250mA) & F21(650mA) for the audio and console. Has anyone experienced this exact problem? Looks like a dealership job. No errors on OBDII which probably doesn't cover this anyway.

You (or a close neighbour) don't have one of those wireless weather stations do you?? They have been known to prevent the car's alarm/immobiliser going into sleep mode, therefore flattening the battery.

The fuses point the radio, console and bluetooth, bit confusing!!.

You've probably solved this by now but for others benefit.

I have been having this same problem with my wife's car, it is being caused by the ignition not turning off properly, when you take the key out listen for the normal (fairly loud) click, i'm guessing that the times it's gone flat it hasn't clicked and the radio has stayed on.

A good long squirt of WD40 down the ignition barrel sorted ours out.

Had same problem with 2009 Fiesta and today agent found problem with bluetooth module. Will cost £261 for new module fitted! Car has done 15k miles. Would not have thought a module that is very rarely used would do this

Get a 2nd hand one from eBay for £50 and replace it yourself in 5mins
