Upgrade fiesta mk7 radio

Post by Taylonthedon »

Hi all I have searched everywhere but I cannot find the answer

I hope someone will know

I've got a fiesta style+ and it has the standard radio ( no bluetooth ect)
With just the front speakers.

I would like to keep the car with a standard head unit but wanted more
Speakers in the rear ect

I know I have to get it activated if I want to use my head unit but my question
Is can I purchase a radio from a higher class model which accepts more speakers?

I know I won't have bluetooth or other functions, I literally just want more
Speakers

Any help would be muchly appreciated

Many thanks

No, you'd have to get the car programmed to run the extra speakers which no one has been able to do yet. Most people run the rears off the front outputs.

Hi thanks for your reply, if I purchased an aftermarket radio would I still need to get the car re programmed to use other speakers then?

Many thanks

Not sure as I don't think it's the stereo which dictates how many speakers you can run. If your going AM I'd run new speaker cables anyway.
