Cold Starting

Cold Starting,
I know as the country as a whole is having a bit of a cold spell at the moment, but my Mk7 2010 1.6 TDCi , has just started to be really lumpy on start in a morning , with very noticeable plumes of smoke out of the back when started up.
Within a second or two it is fine and drives normally. Obviously this is unburnt fuel from the initial start-up process , from cold. Being a bit long in the tooth these days I remember Diesels of old with “glow plugs” and delayed starts etc. Do these modern cars have glow plugs these days ? as it may be a simple remedy of changing them . If so does anyone have a part number ?
It has done 70k miles, and runs very well.
Thanks in anticipation .
