How do you do it? or do you have to take the dash off ?

look like they just clip out

They do just clip out. Just use a flat screwdriver covered in tape and pry very carefully. The real tool to do this is a plastic trim removal tool. Here is a pic of my other Fiesta van that i painted the trims.
