Glove box removal

Hi Guys,

Just had a couple of quick queries about removing the glove box from the car completely.

So basically, when I bought the car, the handle/paddle to open the glove box was slightly broken (think the little plastic rod bit on the right hand side that goes through the round hole on the actual paddle had been snapped off by the previous owner) but the mechanism of the glove box still worked fine, and it was just a bit loose was all (as the paddle was effectively only being held on from one side).

I think a some stage recently, I've possibly snapped the part of the handle that pulls the mechanism down to open the glove box  .

So the first thing I wanted to ask, was whether there are any screws etc. which need to be taken out in order to fully remove the glove box from the car? I can get the glove box to drop down to the floor, but when I tried to give it a tug to try and remove it, it almost seemed as if it was moulded to the car, which is why I queried if there are any screws/clips etc. that need to be undone first?

Secondly, looking around at replacement second-hand glove boxes, the ads I'm looking at seem to mention MK8/9 Fiestas even though the year range mentioned is 2008-2015, so I'm guessing this is just a mistake on their part and that there wouldn't be any difference between the existing glove box in my old 58 plate Fiesta, and the ones advertised?

Cheers Guys.
