Aircon

Hi everyone
I have a one year old fiesta edge 1.25 petrol with aircon (or not!)
I purchased this vehicle new.
After 7 visits to my dealer who kept putting me off then scratching the front bumper for my troubles , he finally pronounced that my aircon was not working DURR!
The compressor was removed , and the dealer said that it contained aluminium 'toothpaste' - nice. They put everything back together till parts were ordered.
Ford was contacted and said that the part would be changed under warranty , but only if every component in the system was changed also.
This seemed ok at first thought, but after the clowns backed a van into my car whilst it was in the garage (I saw it on dash cam) I have lost faith in the clowns that work there. They tell me that the whole dash has to be removed to get at the condensor.
I feel that having the dash removed is an extreme 'raping' of the car and it would never be the same again.
I asked Ford to tell me how to remove the compressor myself , throw it away and fit any new pulleys and shorter belt that comes with a same car with no aircon,
but they refused to tell me , saying i would void the warranty.
I am planning to keep this car perhaps for 10 years if poss, if it does not drop to bits, and I am not concerned about the aircon.
Can anyone help me with this mod? with a pic if poss?

Hi Lord Miff _
It would not alter the fact that the dash still has to come out, doors off ,steering off. The job is not worth it.
I have sold my last two cars because of antics of so called professionals at garages.
My mk 5 golf I sold last year was in for brake problems at a different garage and they jacked it up on the sills, denting it in four places _ morons.
I had a van with a v8 fitted in at another garage to have wheels balanced on hubs, and when I got it back, the clutch was in the bottom of the bell housing.
they said it must have been on its way out.
it was ok that morning when I took it in.
now bumper was scratched on this car. Take it to a garage and have it done properly ? They cant be trusted
