i saw a you tube video about retro fitting power fold mirrors , ive fitted them to my 2011 zetec it has the relays and 8 wires at the loom, ive fitted the switch and mirrors but they dont fold ive read since that the gem module would need reprogramming has any body fitted these and got them working , could it be programed to work by a ford dealer.

The only way you can get them activated is by a
Helpful chap on here called iNath. He is activating
Mine at the weekend and then I am running all
The wiring and fitting the mirrors. Fingers crossed
it will all work.

Hey fellas and fellarino's, just to bring this back up with a question as i'm very interested in doing this :D

...I've got a memory of helping my dad when i was younger replace a lock in a door on our old Escort & one thing that stuck with me was him saying "You never quite get them back on the same" about the door-panels, the full plastic interior door bit that you have to remove to get at the insides of the door. Is this still the case? or has the problem being rectified? or is it just a case of being very careful not to snap the clips off during removal?

Much Love!

p.s. my apologies for being a bit nooby when it comes to stuff like this, i'm new to the car-modding scene. :D

found it a lot easier than other fords ive had,the door panel clips seem quite strong none broke and ive had the panel off a few times, the actual mirror itself is behind a large rubber grommet which you can see with the door open.

Is it possible to add only motors to non-folded electric heated mirrors?
