Front & rear mud flaps

Post by worf105 »

Hi all,

This is my first post here and would like to know how easy Ford genuine front and rear mud flaps are to fit and what tools would I require to do them. If possible a step by step guild on how to install them.

Thanks

worf105

P.S. I've also ordered some 2011 onwards genuine car mats by mistake and was wondering if these will fit my 2009 Fiesta?

Quite easy to do, you can do it with the wheels on, but really easy with wheels off. the front ones you need a spanner 10mm or 13mm I think for the bottom bracket, the rear ones you have to remove the plastic rivets holding the arch lining on and use these to fit mudflap . it's easy when you get them it will all make sense.

I made the same cock up with the mats, the 2011 ones won't fit on the drivers side as they have a completely different fixing system (push stud as opposed to twist lock), the fixing points are also further apart on the later ones. I had to return mine and get the right ones sent out  all the other mats will fit though

Hi,

I've sent them back and now waiting for the correct ones to arrive hopefully with the clips that hold them in place.

Today I installed the mud flaps on my car, only took a little under 1 hours to do them all. Wheels were kept on and there was plenty of room to move. Only small problem I had was getting the old clips off the rear as they just broke when trying to remove them.

Waiting on my chrome door sill protectors to come, hope these are easy to fit centred and straight. :?:

Sill protectors

Post by worf105 »

Hi all and thanks again for all your help.

After fitting the mud flaps to my Fiesta I have ordered and received my polished chrome (steel) sill protectors and they look good. I would appreciate any advice on fitting them correctly as I am told when they stick they stick.....

Cheers,
