Air Filter

Hi All,
My mate gave me a cone filter last night, don't know what the name of it is, all I know is its massive
and won't fit in/over the air box, so I have to take it off...
Basically what I need to know is, what do I do with the pipe (think it's something to do with oil?) that comes out the bottom left side of the box?
