Hey all,

SO I decicded to give my fiesta a good cleaning:

I washed with 2 bucket method
Clayed the car with Zaino Clay bars (wow there amazing)
dried down.

The I set up masking the car up Blue tap yo!

Paint depth readings the majority were 120-140um but I did have some very strange patches the parts by the front lower wheel arch on the door panel was only 75um and the same on the rear panel near the bottom at the wheel arch was only 85um so I did have some very sensitive areas.

I started machining with a 3M Yellow pad and Scholl S17+ I found this did not give the required cut and was Taking ages to correct. So I switched to a Orange Hex-logic pad with S17+ this really worked :D

I finished with 3M ultrafina and a blue 3m pad.

I didn't have time to glaze the car so it just has 1 layer of jet seal 109 applied by hand.

am going to go over the car again on wednesday see if I can jewel the surface a bit more.

few pics for you guys:

Amazing!

How long does it take roughly to do the whole car?

Well that day was a Testing day so it took me 14 hrs and I didn't manage to get a glaze on I just sealed it quick! I was testing pad and polish combo's out on DA as foam on a DA is harder to use that on a rotary.

I am going over the car again on wednesday to full refine the surface and then glaze and Seal with Jet seal 109.

But now I have done the testing I can probably do a car in 8-9 hours.

I also have the new megs micro fibre system for DA, now this kit is blindingly good. cut to finish to one stage!
