Hi all

I am considering uograding my car to the same model, just a 1.6. Would you say it would be worth it? I am getting a very good deal on the 1.6.

Thanks

Well, I am from South Africa, so we work in Rands not pounds. But I am getting it for +-900 pounds less than the list price.... That is just a straight conversion using an exchange rate of 1 pound = 13 Rands... I work for a bank and we have staff insurance which is dead cheap (considering i am below 25 as well) so it aint changing much....

Maybe only an upgrade in trim I.e a style to zetec or zetec to titanium/zetec S other wise I would keep it and save the money for a better car than the mk7

My friend changed 1.4 96 on 1.6 134 with gear box.
Main difference is 1.4 has air pressure control device. 1.6 has the mass airflow sensor.
And other difference is a electric-connection part
1.4 2008 has one

1.6 2011 has that

Electric-connection part differed from a car complete set
Later we found electric conducting from 1.6 120 which suited to us( 2008 red part)
At the end insertion of brains had been done

So why did we do changing? Old engine run 120000 kilometers, gear-box didn't work so good cause second gear has gone. Also Fiesta saw tracks many-many times. It's first fiesta in Russia, which used on tracks so hard

Fiesta from Moscow,Russia, Engine 1.6 134 from Germany, working in Poland

Hi

It does look awesome indeed!

I'm considering a similar project, swapping my 1.25 (SNJA) engine to 1.6 (HXJA). My concern is what exactly needs to be replaced besides the engine itself and ECU. Manifold, driveshafts, gearbox, etc. I only can find bare engines for sale in Europe, and it would be really disappointing to get stuck with unfinished project. Would appreciate any information on that topic!
