I decided to wash my k&n as it had been on my golf it got quite dirty so instead of a rinse I though yeah washing machine would be fine... However I left it on 40 and no 30 and this is what it did

Seemed like a good idea at the time :( I have been soaking it for the past few days and every morning the fresh water has become black from all the crap so I took the lazy bad way... Anyway it's a excuse to buy a new one

K&N make special cleaner. It pull the dirt out by soaking it. The red in the gauze is the filtering oil. You'll need to re apply this before you use it again.

I thought it would be ok to used but.... It quite deformed around the ring. It was the heat of the water that ruined it tbh. A close inspection you can tell its Verry clean hahaha
