Pollen / Cabin Filter

Post by Supercharged »

How to change the Pollen / Cabin Filter (Should take 15 mins max with this guide)

This should really be done every major service (25k Miles) - but maybe every year / 12.5k miles for hay fever or allergy sufferers.

NOTE - Unlike the older Fiesta the cabin filter on the Mk7 is located on the drivers side!

Very easy to change and the only tools required are a Philips screwdriver and a T20 Torx driver

For reference the new Filter I used was a Hengst E2964LI (MANN CU 2436) for a 1.25 Style+

I think you can also get a 'carbon' type one that is also an odour filter too.

So cabin filter is located at the drivers front footwell... first you will need to unclip the trim that runs down the side of the centre console at the drivers side. To do this, you just need to unscrew the centre of the plastic clip with a Phillips screwdriver, then pull the clip out and release carefully past the clutch pedal and unclip along at the gearstick end - these can be quite stiff!

You then need to unscrew the T20 Torx screw and then you will be able to pull the cover down slightly to remove.
You will now see the cabin filter can then be pulled out, when putting the new cabin filter in the slot, make sure that the arrows for the airflow of the filter are pointing into the car.

Now you can refit the cover (slots in at the top first) and the side trim.
