There are already quite a few guides on the net on fitting a sub to a mk7, I thought I would put my spin on running the power lead as I found this dead easy to do with minimal tools and time.
This was the route I took, starting at the battery.
I would recommend a dab of sealant round the cable/grommet to prevent any water entering the car (outside only)
This brings you in next to the fuse box, behind the glovebox.
The footwell and kickplate trim just pulls off.
You can then run the lead to your amp mounting point.
