Hi, first time posting due to this annoying issue with the Aux port on my car.

The Aux port is just above the gear stick on the car, so I thought it may of not been a standard fit until I saw the same car with the Aux port in the same place. Anyway, when i first got the car I tried the Aux port and it was really, really quiet. So i did the usual of cleaning the headphone jack on the device and then the same for the cars port, still nothing. Then when I tried it one day I put the into 3rd gear and it worked, soon as I put it into 4th it went quiet again, it also works when in 5th gear.

I just want to know if anyone has experienced this, and if so how they fixed it. Or if anyone knows of a fix to this increasingly annoying problem.

Sounds like you may need to check out the wiring
