Hi all,
I've recently got a 61 plate Fiesta Zetec which I think is a MK 7 (although I'm not totally sure where the MKs start and end!); it came with the ubiquitous tyre inflation kit so I began looking for a spare.
I already have a brace and a bottle jack and I managed to track down a 175/65/R14 on what I think is a full-size steel wheel from a MK6 (or MK5 or MK7 - who knows) - this one here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140982229428? ... 1423.l2649.
So couple of questions -
i) does anybody know for sure if this will fit my 61 plate Zetec or have I wasted my money? It fits in the wheel well fine, I just want to make sure I can safely use it as a spare.
ii) I'll need some way to secure it in the wheel well (the standard securing bolt is too short, and may well protrude above the level of the boot anyway) - can i fashion something from some threaded stud or similar?
Thanks in advance!
Another spare wheel / tyre question

Re: Another spare wheel / tyre question
I bought a 15" steel wheel & 195x50x15 tyre & this fits in the spare wheel well with very slight raising of the boot carpet.
The retaining bolt, I tried 4 different ones. You need the one for the fiesta van, which is too long, but just push the bolt part up into the plastic sleeve to get the required length.
