How do you fit the Cusco strut brace to a mk7 Fez, HELP!!

Good evening Gents,
I bought a Cusco strut brace for my mk7 Fez but I'm having a nightmare fitting it, it appears theres a lot of plastic bits in the way. The attached pic shows bits that I've sawed off but I need to know if anyone else has fitted one of these struts and what do I need to do.

Guys, heres a few pics of the Cusco strut fitted on a mk7 (not my vehicle) PJ Performance sent me these pics, if you're planning on fitting one of these struts, the attached pics will be useful.

I've finally managed to get the Cusco strut brace fitted, bodyshop had to take the scuttle panel apart to get to the nuts and bolts. Now I'm looking forward to the cornering.

and i want his exhaust and turbo for mine

and paul keeps teasing me by putting the pics of the strutbrace on facebook
