Spraying grills and diffuser gloss black

Post by Chadwick235 »

Hello people.

Just wondering if anyone would advise spraying the plastics myself gloss black or whether i should take them to a body shop to be done?

i would rather take them somewhere but i know they will charge a ridiculous amount just for a couple of bits.

Any help would be good.

Cheers.

I'm sure you'll be capable of doing it yourself. Sand it down with some wet and dry until you get it as smooth as you'd like it, that's the hardest part in my opinion. I think I used 240 grit for mine, then finished it with 600 grit. You'll need to prime it afterwards, then depending on the primer you may need to use wet and dry again, a very fine grit to get it smooth, then give it its gloss coat. Hope this is helpful, good luck with the project!
